Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said during a press conference Thursday that he is open to giving his young players a chance to gain experience in Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Detroit Lions.  superheng1688

The Packers practiced Wednesday without wide receivers Jordy Nelson (shoulder), Davontae Adams (concussion) and Jeronimo Allison (illness), so it’s likely McCarthy will give some of his young players a chance to play in Detroit on Sunday, with a combined 14 injured players.

The rising stars who are in the running include Michael Clark, a 22-year-old wide receiver who was undrafted last year, and Kyler Fackrell, a 26-year-old second-year outside linebacker.

Clark had three catches for 36 yards against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday and the 22-year-old wide receiver is likely to play alongside four-year wide receiver Jeff Janis. Fackrell has 26 tackles and three sacks in 15 games, two starts.  ( superheng1688 )
