According to a report from Catalan outlet Sport, Barca are in no rush to sign a new goalkeeper but are looking at possible options for the future.
It has also been claimed that Barca watched Verbruggen during the Netherlands’ Nations League quarter-final against Spain a few days ago.
The Dutch goalkeeper is just 22 years old and is already a decent player, tall, good with his feet and a lot of potential.
Fairbruggen is contracted to Brighton until 2028 but it is believed Barcelona could make an offer for the goalkeeper in 2026.
Barcelona are set to extend Wojciech Szczesny’s contract by a year this summer, while Marc-Andre ter Stegen is set to return to action in the coming weeks after suffering a serious injury.
