In the 7th minute, Leicester had the first chance when Bilal El Cannuss took a shot from the edge of the penalty area, but the ball went straight to Robert Sanchez.

Chelsea were awarded a penalty when Viktor Christiansen recklessly kicked Jadon Sancho in a non-threatening situation. The referee blew for a foul, but Cole Palmer, who was responsible for the penalty, had his shot saved by Mads Hermansen in the 22nd minute.

In the 27th minute, Leicester almost took the lead when James Justin broke through on the right and crossed into the middle. Robert Sanchez flew out to block the shot, causing Tosin Adarabioyo to lose his rhythm and head the ball against his own crossbar. Jamie Vardy tried to follow up, but Levi Colwill was able to head it away first.

In the 45+3 minute of injury time, Pedro Neto escaped the offside trap and broke through on the left before crossing into the penalty area for Christopher Nkunku to swung and shoot with his left foot, but Hermansen managed to push it over the bar.

From the corner kick, Nkunku headed the ball back but it went wide of the goal.

End of the first half, Chelsea still draw with Leicester 0-0.

In the second half, Leicester had a chance in the 52nd minute when Jamie Vardy blocked the ball and shot from a tight angle, forcing Robert Sanchez to push it behind.

Chelsea took the lead 1-0 in the 60th minute when Enzo Fernandez passed to Marc Cucurella who took a left-footed shot that flew past Hermansen and into the far post.
