The Athletic reports that City Football Group are working to bring Brazilian winger Savio from Troyes to Manchester City, both clubs that are also in the ownership of the player. ( wilson88 )

Savio broke through at home-town club Atlético Mineiro before being snapped up by City Football Group and signed for Troyes. However, he has yet to make an appearance for a French club, having been loaned out to PSV Eindhoven for the 2022-23 season and to Girona, another CFG club, last season.

Manchester City, CFG’s biggest club, have informed Savio of their intention to make the 20-year-old winger a major part of Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad for the 2024-25 season, with the rest left to the board of directors. He is expected to sign a five-year contract, until June 2029.

Savio is currently representing Brazil at the 2024 Copa America in the United States and has already scored his first international goal in a 4-1 win over Paraguay in the second game of the group stage, continuing his excellent performance from the 2023-24 season, in which he scored 9 goals and provided 10 assists in La Liga, helping Girona finish as high as 3rd place and secure a ticket to the UEFA Champions League.
