    The Gunners were linked with a new centre-forward over the summer, with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Sporting Lisbon’s Victor Yokeres and Juventus’ Dushan Vlahovic all considered, but none came close to signing.

    Earlier this month, media outlets in Duran’s native Colombia claimed that Arsenal had shown interest and had made enquiries to Aston Villa about the possibility of signing him in the January transfer window, with Vieira backing the move.
