Troy Reeder, a 27-year-old veteran linebacker, is set to sign a one-year deal with the LA Chargers to reunite with Lightning head coach Brandon Stanley, Pro Football Network reported Saturday.  ( vox888 ) 

Reeder, who entered the league undrafted in 2019, worked with Stanley as the Rams’ defensive coordinator in 2020, where he played in all 16 games and started seven, before the 39-year-old took over as head coach with the Chargers last season and is set to reunite with his former staff in LA.

Last season, Reeder played in 17 games, starting 10, with the Rams, making a career-high 91 tackles, six tackles for loss and also making two sacks and one interception. But the 27-year-old linebacker struggled with tackling and coverage before the Rams made a deal with Bobby Wagner that would see the former Seattle Seahawks linebacker start alongside Ernest Jones.
