Jaros, who made his debut as a late substitute in the 1-0 win at Crystal Palace earlier in October, made his first start for Liverpool in Wednesday’s 3-2 Carabao Cup win at Brighton.
“I’m very happy and really happy to help the team in this way in a difficult game away to Brighton,” the Czech goalkeeper said after helping his team reach the quarter-finals. “I’m very happy with my performance and the team’s performance.”
The 23-year-old said of the crucial early-game save: “It helps you feel calm. Whatever the save is, it helps you feel calm and confident in your play. It helps a lot.”
Another moment when he blocked a header from Simon Adingra, he said: “I saw a cross from the side and someone jumped to head the ball back. I reached out to block something and luckily the ball went just wide.”
In the quarter-finals, Liverpool have been drawn to face Southampton in mid-December, with an official date to be announced later. ( zbet911 )
