At Dynamic Football Camp, Samut Prakan Province, the Thai women’s national football team continues training to prepare for the 2025 ASEAN Women’s MSIG Serenity Cup, which will take place from 6-19 August 2025 in Haiphong, Vietnam.
The Thai women’s football team is in Group A with Vietnam (host), Indonesia and Cambodia, with the winners and runners-up of each group advancing to the semi-finals.
This training session, head coach Futoshi Ikeda, of Japan, focused on physical recovery after the intense training over the past week, which lasted for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Before training, Thai-Norwegian midfielder Yulia Gerning of Wasatch SC said, “I’m very excited and happy to be selected for the senior Thai national team for the first time. The first week of training with the team was quite difficult, but everyone on the team persevered and fought together.”
“Everyone on the team is close-knit, friendly, and helpful. They try to understand the tactics and meaning the coach tells us to play, so we can execute well. I hope to use my experience from abroad to help the team think quickly and act quickly.”
“Personally, I’m close with everyone on the team, as many of them are from the U20s, and we’ve known each other before. But I’m also close with all of my seniors. I think I still have many things I need to adjust and improve, including playing faster and trying to be as strong as my seniors. Everyone is well-prepared and has been training very well. Therefore, I think everyone is ready to compete in the ASEAN Championship in Vietnam.”
The Thai women’s national football team will train at the Dynamic Football Camp in Samut Prakan Province until August 2, 2025, with two warm-up matches scheduled before selecting the final 23 players to depart for Vietnam on August 3, 2025 ( superheng1688 )
