sudpung168 Miramax, led by new CEO Jonathan Glickman who took over last year, is set to remake the 1998 sci-fi horror film The Faculty , with Robert Rodriguez, the original’s director, attached to executive produce.

The report also says that Drew Hancock , who recently starred in his first feature film, “Companion,” will be writing and directing the new horror film. sudpung168

The original film is likely inspired by “Invasion of the Body Snatchers,” which tells the story of a group of high school students who find that their teachers are acting strangely after they find a strange parasite in the school.

The original was based on a script by Kevin Williamson, who had written the first two “Scream” films, and starred a cast of young actors and actresses, including Jordana Brewster, Clea Duvall, Josh Hartnett, Shawn Hatosi, Usher Raymond, Elijah Wood, Famke Janssen, Robert Patrick, Salma Hayek, and Jon Stewart.
