bgames666 This may not be official, but according to Puck News reporter Matt Belloni, the production budget for “ Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning ” starring Tom Cruise is  has already exceeded $400 million.

The main reason for this was the delays in filming, which began with the 2023 Actors’ Guild strike that halted filming for nine months. At the time, Puck News reported that the film had already exceeded its $300 million budget. Then, in June of last year, the film had to be postponed again because the submarine used in filming broke down, costing an additional $25 million. bgames666

If this report is correct, that means the film would need to gross $1 billion worldwide to become profitable, unless the film can reduce its budget by claiming tax refunds from the countries where it was filmed.

The highest-grossing installment in the series is “Fallout,” which grossed $791 million worldwide, while the latest installment, “Dead Reckoning,” grossed $571.1 million on a $291 million budget, resulting in a loss of about $100 million in theatrical release.

So far, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is the most expensive film ever made, costing $447 million to make and grossing $2.1 billion worldwide.

The film has a cast of actors from previous installments such as Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Corby, Pom Clementeev, Isai Morales, Marila Garriga, Che Wigglem, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell, Frédéric Schmidt, Henry Czerny and Angela Bassett returning to reprise their roles, supported by new actors for this installment such as Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Weddellham, Katie O’Brien and Stephen O’Young.
