New images from “Ballerina,” the “John Wick” spinoff lisbon365

lisbon365 Ahead of the release of a new trailer for John Wick spin-off “ Ballerina ,” officially titled “From the World of John Wick: Ballerina,” at 9 p.m. ET today, Lionsgate has released a new batch of stills from the film to whet your appetite.

New images give us Ana de Armas with Continental Hotel owner Winston (Ian McShane), and a first look at Anjelica Huston, the Russian mobster who trained her, Ruska Roma, as well as a still from Norman Reedus. lisbon365

In the film, Ana de Armas plays Rooney, a ballerina assassin whose concept was first introduced to us in “John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.” Rooney is a survivor of a family massacre who finds himself in the care of Winston (Ian McShane reprising his role) and Sharon (played by the late Lance Reddick) at the Continental Hotel in New York City.

She was sent to train as an assassin at the Russian mafia’s Ruska Roma, and it seems she’s strong enough to avenge her family.

The film also stars Angelica Huston, who returns as the director of the Raska Roma office, along with Gabriel Byrne as the villain, and Keanu Reeves, who returns as John Wick.

The film also stars Catalina Sandino Moreno, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, David Castenda and Norman Reedus. Directed by Len Wiseman from a script by Shay Hatten, it is set to hit theaters in June this year. ( lisbon365 )
