Veteran left tackle Tyron Smith is set to sign a one-day deal to wrap up his 14-year NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. kindee1688

The two-time All-Pro and eight-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle has been a key player for the Cowboys for 13 seasons since entering the league as the ninth overall pick in the 2011 draft before playing 10 games with the New York Jets in 2024. 

Smith started his career as a right tackle in his rookie season before moving to left tackle to protect Tony Romo and remained a mainstay on the blindside for Dak Prescott and eight other quarterbacks during his 13 seasons in Dallas.

Tyron Smith is the crown jewel of one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, along with Travis Frederick and Zach Martin. He has allowed just 39 quarterback sacks in his 14-season career and has given up just one sack in four seasons in which he played at least 400 snaps. ( kindee1688 )
